What We Didn't Like

Leaks slowly at the joints after a few weeks; a spare O-ring set helps.

What it actually does

Six syringes, no batteries — build an arm powered by water. Hydraulic Robot Arm Kit by BuildWorks, sized for ages 9-14. We keep the listing honest: everything below is what we measured on our own test shelf, not what the box promises. Inside the box: Laser-cut parts, 6 syringes, tubing, guide. One real limitation: Leaks slowly at the joints after a few weeks; a spare O-ring set helps.

Two weeks in and it is still the first toy picked after school. Survived a stair fall too.

My 7-year-old worked out the controls in about ten minutes and then would not put it down all weekend. Only gripe: loud on hard floors.

Bought it for a birthday and it was the gift everyone crowded around. Worth the price for the reaction alone. Only gripe: small parts need supervision.

It does exactly what the video shows. That is rarer than it should be. Only gripe: needs smooth floor.
