What We Didn't Like

Magnifier scratches easily if kept loose in a pocket.

In the box

  • Magnifier
  • bug jar
  • trowel
  • notebook

What it actually does

Magnifier, bug viewer and a real working trowel. Garden Explorer Kit by TerraKids, sized for ages 4-9. We keep the listing honest: everything below is what we measured on our own test shelf, not what the box promises. Inside the box: Magnifier, bug jar, trowel, notebook. One real limitation: Magnifier scratches easily if kept loose in a pocket.

    ★★★

My daughter is a bit younger than the recommended age and needed help at first. Fine now. Only gripe: loud on hard floors.

    ★★★★

Battery life is the weak point, but the play value in that window is high. Only gripe: small parts need supervision.

    ★★★★

It does exactly what the video shows. That is rarer than it should be. Only gripe: needs smooth floor.
